Abstract
This chapter examines the polymerization of acrylic fibres. It discusses the properties required in acrylonitrole polymers for fibre applications including: molecular weight; comonomers; and whiteness. Different polymerization methods are described: aqueous dispersion polymerization; solution polymerization; emulsion polymerization; and bulk polymerization.
