Abstract

Reading ability plays a vital role in the educational process and in students’ personal and intellectual development. The aim of this study is to review the literature on the nature of reading skills and the development opportunities for first-grade students. The study examines the nature, significance, stages of acquisition, and development opportunities of reading skills. Based on the analysis of 84 first-grade students, results highlight the significance of individualized teaching methods and the importance of creating interactive and engaging environments for reading development.
