Abstract
I was appointed chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group of the College of National University of Sciences and Technologies at the Pakistan Navy Engineering College (NUST-PNEC) on 5 June 2020 amid lockdown due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. It was a great honor for me to become the leader of an international Society where my leadership and teammanagement skills could flourish, but at the same time, it is a challenge to run an Affinity Group that has neither its team nor its financial assets in place.
