Abstract
This community service program aims to improve the digital literacy of elementary school students in understanding the negative impacts of excessive gadget use. This activity was carried out at SD Negeri 38 Kota Sorong, involving fifth-grade students through a participatory-educational approach. The program used lectures, interactive discussions, and pre- and post-tests to measure students' knowledge before and after receiving the material. The material presented covered the functions of gadgets, their benefits, and potential risks such as decreased concentration, sleep disturbances, and reduced social interaction. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding, with the average score rising from 48.95% to 75.26% after the session. Overall, the digital literacy education program proved to be effective in promoting a healthier and more responsible understanding of gadget use among elementary school students.
