Abstract
New molybdenum oxides, Mo-y(yellow) and Mo-b(blue), were obtained by the reaction between molybdenum powder or molybdenum trioxide and hydrogen peroxide. Their reactivity and structure were examined by iodometry, IR, X-ray, and thermal analyses. Mo-y is an acidic oxidant but Mo-b is acidic.
