Abstract
This paper presents the conclusions of a study into new possibilities for the provision of information literacy education to remote external students through the use of newcommunication technologies. The study was conducted at Edith Cowan University during thefirst half of 1993. The survey results are presented together with some conclusions about futuredirections for user education in academic libraries. © 1994 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
