Abstract
Resumen La presente investigación tiene por objetivo describir la relación existente entre la Inteligencia Emocional y el grado de Ansiedad Rasgo-Estado. Para tal efecto se realizó una investigación de tipo descriptivo correlacional. Los participantes fueron 166 estudiantes con edades entre 16 y 26 años de una Institución Educativa Superior de Lima, a quienes se les aplicó el Inventario de Inteligencia Emocional de BarOn y el Inventario de Ansiedad Rasgo-Estado de Spielberger. Se halló la existencia de una relación altamente significativa entre las dos variables. En Inteligencia Emocional se encontró que el 81% de los ingresantes presentan un nivel adecuado y en Ansiedad Estado-Rasgo se halló que alrededor del 81% muestran un nivel bajo. En conclusión, las hipótesis formuladas fueron afirmadas. Palabras clave: Inteligencia Emocional, Ansiedad Rasgo-Estado, estudiantes. Abstract The following investigation has as its main objetive the description of the relationship that exists between Emotional Intelligence and the degree of the State-Trait of Anxiety; for this a descriptive and correlational investigation was carried out. The participants were 166 individuals between 16 and 26 years of age in an Institute of Higher Learning in Lima, Perú. A BarOn Emotional Quotient Inventory and Spielberg's State-Trait Anxiety Inventory were applied. The results found the existence of a highly significant relationship between the Total Emotional Intelligence and the level of State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. According to the Emotional Intelligence component it was found that 81% of the participants presented an adequate level of Emotional Intelligence and with respect to the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory it was found that around 81% had a low level of anxiety. In conclusion, the hypothesis was deemed affirmative.
