Abstract
Red and blue inorganic pigment can be dissolved in the structure of microemulsion aasociations of water in oil, anionic surfactants (sodium dedocyl benzena sulfonate) and pentanol. The purpose of this study to prepared the gel from microemulsion of water in oil, and to know the stability of ink obtained based on solubility test, density and refractive index of red and blue inorganic pigments. The method used is the sol-gel method by turning microemulsion fluid into gel by a sol-gel process at low temperature. The gel from the microemulsion have done by the addition of tetra ethyl ortho silicate and ethanol. Tetra ethyl ortho silicate which is added 1:8 mol comparison to the amount of water in microemulsion of water in oil. Refractive index measures using an ABBE refractometer. The result show that produced gel is semi-solid in design and has the ability to dissolve large inorganic pigments and achieve a degenerative properties in red inorganic pigments of 0,066 grams while blue pigments saturation of 0,022 grams.
