Abstract
The positive endpoint was defined as either positive evidence in coronary angiography, ST segment elevation on ECG or sudden cardiac arrest within 7 days of presentation. A set of clinical and paraclinical variables were evaluated in patients, including age, gender, race/ethnicity, chest pain, duration of pain, reproducible chest pain, sweating, history of coronary artery disease (CAD), dyspnea, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, family history of CAD, history of congestive heart failure, current/recent smoking, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, BMI, increased cholesterol, T wave inversion, ST depression, normal ECG and Q waves.
