Abstract

Phase-pure perovskite-type SrTiO3, CaTiO3and BaTiO3electrodes have been applied for dye-sensitized solar cells, to obtain higher VOC than TiO2electrode. Furthermore, TiO2/SrTiO3and TiO2/BaTiO3composite electrodes have been also prepared. SrTiO3, CaTiO3and BaTiO3powders synthesized by solid-state reaction method at 1200°C for 2 h were used to prepare the solar cells. Phase-pure SrTiO3and BaTiO3cells showed higher VOC than that from TiO2, but showed lower JSC and efficiency. To utilize the positive effect to increase the VOC, P25 TiO2/SrTiO3and P25 TiO2/BaTiO3composite DSC were prepared. For each series, ~30 wt% addition was favorable to increase the photo-electric conversion efficiency.
