Abstract

The depopulation and the aging prompted in 2013 several Autonomous Regions to create the Forum of Spanish Regions with Demographic Challenges. A high proportion of their territories is affected by both problems, not foreign to other regions. Population density is the main variable to delimit those spaces, but others must be reviewed on growth and age to understand the future challenges.
