Abstract
The influence of substrate roughness on the wetting scenario of adsorbed van der Waals films was investigated. The extremely smooth substrates were required to generate thickness of adsorbed van der Waals films larger than 10 nm. It is found that a finite roughness leads to triple-point wetting which reduces the widths of the adsorbed solid films with respect to that of smooth substrates.
