Abstract
In the fifth chapter of this book, Grime discusses the plant "strategies" involved in secondary succession. It basically reflects the statements made in Grime (1977). His main point is that processes of change in the structure and composition of vegetation can be understood with relation to the establishment and regenerative stragies of the plant populations and the habitat productivity.
