Abstract

Nitrogenous heterocyclic carbamic acids possess considerable stability and can frequently be isolated as free acids. A variety of synthetic methods are available and the expected range of derivatives is formed. Recently, such N-carboxylic acids have been demonstrated to form useful protecting/activating groups in metalation reactions. © 1987.
