Abstract
The first article, represents a contribution in the field of audiology, plots the time course of audiologic manifestations of infants with hyperbilirubinemia and examines management strategies relevant to those infants, with recommendations for use of a team approach. Findings of the study represented in the second article show that residual inhibition, offers only temporary relief of tinnitus and is not recommended as a viable procedure for use on a regular basis. Article three in the current issue is important in that it represents much needed development in standardized assessment procedures for use with speakers of Cantonese. An innovative study is presented in the fourth article of the issue and demonstrates that, for children of lower socioeconomic background with delays in aspects of their spoken language development.
