Abstract

Andy Allcock visited Chicago's International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in September to see how American machine tool technology is shaping up. With the emphasis on metalcutting rather than metalforming technology at the show this year, it was in the areas of multi-spindle autos, PC-based CNC and small machine tools where developments were most noticeable.
