FLOT: Location privacy preservation in internet of things

Abstract

Internet of Things includes sensor enabled devices that are capable of doing a wide variety of tasks. As these devices capture huge amounts of information including the location of the user, these generate privacy concerns. In this paper, Fuzzy Logic Based Location Obfuscation Technique (FLOT), fuzzy logic based Location privacy preservation technique has been proposed. The technique was compared to other existing technique and the results indicate that the original location of the user is obfuscated to a great extent in the proposed technique.
