Nausea and vomiting after general anesthesia (PONV) is still a problem, where approximately 20-30% of all patients are affected. Guidelines have been developed to identify those with a higher risk and to recommend a suitable type of treatment. Studies have shown a poor guideline adherence. Introduction: The aim of this survey was to describe the nurse anesthetist perioperative caring and pharmacological actions to prevent and treat PONV in adult patients.
