HUBUNGAN IBU HAMIL DENGAN ANEMIA TERHADAP KEJADIAN BERAT BADAN LAHIR RENDAH

Abstract

Anemia disorders that generally occur when pregnant women can cause baby abortion, premature birth and low birth weight (LBW), even stillbirth. The World Health Organization explains that around the world, especially in developing countries, cases of low birth weight births are 96.5% or ± 20 million babies. This study aims to see the correlation of pregnancy with anemia on the incidence of low birth weight at Hospital X, Tangerang distric. This research uses observational method analytics through a retrospective approach, with a case control design. The sampling technique uses a purposive sample, the population is all medical records of newborns at  Tangerang distric Hospital X between January 2019 to December 2021. Then the data obtained is analyzed using the Che-Square Test. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between pregnancy with anemia and the incidence of low birth weight at Tangerang distric Hospital x with p 0.002 (p <0.005). with the oods ratio value of 0.503. Where mothers with anemia have a 0.503 times higher risk of low birth weight births compared to pregnant women who are not anemic.
