Specialist thyroid package 1 (PS1) in outpatient endocrine care

Abstract

The article presents the assumptions of a new specialist thyroid package (PS1) in outpatient specialist care in the field of endocrinology, which was introduced by the National Health Fund (Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia - NFZ) in January 2020. It became an impulse to characterise the current problems affecting specialist care in the field of endocrinology, search for their potential causes, and propose strategies with the intention of contributing to increasing the efficiency of the system.
