Abstract

In much of the world, assessment of the quality of peritoneal dialysis (PD) has focused largely on the measurement of small solute clearance, usually in the form of Kt/Vurea. It must be recognized, however, that the evidence linking patient survival to achieving a given Kt/Vurea is weak at best.
