Abstract

The approach and the sexual relation are constituent moments of the individual capital of feminity and masculinity. In 19th century and during the first third of the 20th France takes shape a relative feminine emancipation and a softening of the modes close to seduction to the roughness of the previous period which made the sexual close to rape, succeeded softer practices leading free relations. The flirtation, mainly, establishes a new shape between punctual relation and engagement. These changes do not however question the fundamental asymmetry of the gendered roles.
