Abstract
The future sustainability of the landscape is a pending issue in the Latin American agendas and involves a process of land management that begins with knowledge development and ends with the proposal of regulations for its protection. In this context, the article shows the advances of an investigation that proposes the elaboration of the inventory of landscape resources of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Jujuy, Argentina, as a key tool. As a result, a methodology–originated in the need for recognition, valuation and protection of the landscape–is exposed, which comprises the gathering and evaluation of information, as well as the registration of landscape resources and their georeferencing.
