Abstract

The presence of thrips was determined in diverse trees, ornamental shrubs and weeds in the Region of La Araucanía from 2005 to 2008. The species of thrips associated with leaves and flowers were Heliothrips haemorrhoidalis (Bouché), Frankliniella australis Morgan and Haplothrips leucanthemi (Scharank). New records of hosts for the species H. leucanthemi were established.
