Abstract

Hybrid organic-inorganic lead halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have recently undergone rapid progress and exhibit high photoelectric conversion efficiencies of up to 19.3%. As light-absorber in PSCs, the hybrid organic-inorganic lead halide perovskite cannot be used in large-scale applications because of its high Pb content. In this work, we replaced some Pb with Sr to synthesize a novel perovskite CH3NH3SrxPb(1-x)I3and used it as a light-absorber in PSCs. Compared with CH3NH3PbI3, CH3NH3Sr0.3Pb0.7I3is a better light-absorber but the corresponding photovoltaic performance in PSCs decreased obviously.
