Abstract

Much of the work in sociology of sport is deeply marked by the work of two important authors, Norbert Elias and Pierre Bourdieu. The present article intends to say that Schutz and Garfinkel, although their works were not dedicated to sports, can bring relevant contributions to the construction of a perspective that reveals certain aspects of the sports phenomenon yet to be explored from the constitution of the experience of playing in front of the world lived from collective sports games.
