Abstract

The way to do business today has changed steadily due to globalization. The objective of the research is to promote a framework of the current situation of the entrepreneurship in Mexico. The research is documentary and descriptive, as it will be conducted through the consultation of reports made by international institutions and agencies in relation to the situation of competitiveness in Mexico, with a qualitative approach as a reliable way to know the reality is through data collection and analysis. The results show that due to the informal nature of SMEs in Mexico, the scarce use of technology and administrative models by entrepreneurs, as well as the excessive number of governmental formalities and a high tax burden generates a low level of competitiveness at the global level of this type of business.
