Abstract

With the development of urban power network cabling, the influence of power cable on the surrounding environment was increasingly subject to public concern, especially the influence of electromagnetic environment (EME). The accident that the operation and maintenance personnel have an electric shock in the Xiang'an submarine tunnels of Xiamen were investigated in this paper. In the first place, the distribution of magnetic field in the tunnel was calculated by formula and simulation. Moreover, the distribution of magnetic field in the tunnel was measured and found that the magnetic induction intensity in the side of high voltage direct current (HVDC) was 1.6mT, which was far beyond the public exposure limit of the cable magnetic field. Finally, the possible reasons for the phenomenon of electric shock were put forward.
