Abstract

We have entered the Anthropocene era, a term which characterizes the geological era in which humanity interferes with the global geochemical cycles through the voluntary blindness of a minority. What are the effects of this ? This article argues that regulating or socialising the economy is insufficient, that getting out of it is necessary. This perspective, which has often been misunderstood, implies confronting the belief that the economic production of wealth is the only answer to the problems of our times. Follows a series of ruptures in both the spheres of production and consumption which in turn imply a struggle against the infinite division of labour. © La Découverte.
