Pembuatan Trainer Kelistrikan Sepeda Motor Untuk Program Studi Teknik dan Bisnis Sepeda Motor SMK Yapin Kertasemaya, Indramayu

Abstract

Project Based Learning is needed in vocational schools because education in vocational schools emphasizes the skills aspect rather than the knowledge aspect. Therefore, this learning model can be better understood by students, it is necessary to create a trainer or simulator to practice the theory that has been obtained. Based on a survey that has been conducted, the service partner, namely SMK Yapin Kertasemaya, has a Business and Motorcycle Engineering Study Program but has not yet installed a motorbike trainer. Hence, this community service program will collaborate with Vocational High School Yapin Kertasemaya, to create motorbike trainers. Because the motorbike system is quite complex, the trainers made are limited to electrical trainers only. The trainer tool was made in the Instrumentation and Control Laboratory at the Indramayu State Polytechnic. To ensure the trainer tool was created well, the trainer tool was tested and evaluated by lecturers from the mechanical engineering department. Based on the design that has been carried out, the results obtained are that all trainer components can function well and can be tested on vocational school students. After the trainer tool was tested on vocational school students, the team gave a questionnaire to the teachers and the results showed that the trainer was very good and helped the learning activities of vocational school students, but the quantity needed to be increased further to accommodate all students' practical activities. Keywords— Trainer tool, Motorbike, Skill Pembelajaran Project Based Learning sangat dibuthkan di SMK, karena Pendidikan di SMK lebih menekankan aspek keterampilan daripada aspek pengetahuan. Agar pembelajaran tersebut dapat lebih dipahami oleh siswa, maka perlu dibuat trainer atau simulator untuk mempraktikkan teori yang telah diperoleh. Berdasarkan survey yang telah dilakukan, mitra pengabdian yaitu SMK Yapin Kertasemaya mempunyai Program Studi Teknik Bisnis dan Sepeda Motor, namun belum memiliki trainer sepeda motor. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian ini akan bekerjasama dengan mitra yaitu SMK Yapin Kertasemaya untuk membuat trainer sepeda motor. Karena sistem sepeda motor cukup kompleks, maka trainer yang dibuat dibatasi hanya untuk trainer kelistrikan. Pembuatan trainer dilakukaan di Laboratorium Instrumentasi dan Kontrol Politeknik Negeri Indramayu dengan dibantu tenaga laboran dan beberapa mahasiswa. Agar trainer yang dibuat dapat berfungsi dengan baik, trainer juga akan diujicoba dan dievaluasi oleh dosen ahli dari Teknik Mesin. Berdasarkan perancangan yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil bahwa seluruh komponen trainer dapat berfungsi dengan baik dan dapat diujicobakan pada siswa-siswi SMK. Setelah trainer diujicobakan kepada siswa-siswi SMK, tim memberikan angket kepada para guru dan diperoleh hasil bahwa trainer yang dibuat sangat baik dan sangat membantu kegiatan belajar siswa-siswi SMK, namun perlu ditingkatkan lagi untuk kuantitasnya agar dapat mengakomodir seluruh kegiatan praktik siswa.
