Abstract
Two Anglo-Arab racing horses showed a recurrence of spontaneous and profuse nasal haemorrhage at an interval of <1 month. One horse had a few masses of necrotic granulation tissue in the paranasal mucosa. In the other, a guttural pouch haemorrhage with destruction of the internal carotid artery wall and replacement by chronic granulation tissue, was detected.
