Abstract
The requirements for adequate dynamic response of blood pressure monitoring systems for clinical use are studied and established. Methods are suggested for testing the fidelity of catheter-tubing-transducer systems. A new device (Accudynamic®) is characterized which can be used to optimize dynamic response.
