Abstract

The article discusses college transition tips for U.S. students with learning disabilities (LD), attention-deficit disorder (ADD), or attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The author suggests that students find out information about the campus disability services office, know student rights to receive testing accommodations, and be aware of their required assistance. The article reports that students with disabilities should research professors that are receptive towards students with LD, ADD, or ADHD. The author also provides information on college success skills, such as time management, test-taking, and stress reduction.
