Abstract

The aim of this study is to present the validation of a questionnaire on inclusive education competencies for initial teacher training in Chilean universities. The questionnaire design is based on a literature review. The Delphi technique is applied for content validation and intentional sampling is employed. Thirteen experts in the field of initial teacher training and inclusive education participated. Three iterations are conducted over four months. The results show the theoretical analysis associated with the authors, which presents the fundamental competencies required by an inclusive teacher. They also show the rounds process, leading to the final version of the questionnaire. In conclusion, the Delphi technique is confirmed as a valid tool and the profile of an inclusive teacher is determined to be comprehensive.
