Abstract

Nature has solved many engineering problems on the small scale to create complex nanoscale devices that can be used for computational, biophysical, synthetic, and analytical applications. Owe Orwar at the Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) and colleagues describe transport of materials in nanoconduits between containers and advances in initiation and control of chemical reactions with single-molecule resolution.
