De Nápoles a Beijing, (1799-1995). Dos siglos de mujeres y paz

Abstract

La historia enseña que son las mujeres por lo general quienes se han opuesto a las guerras. En este texto se apunta la evolución contemporánea de la relación entre la paz ¿anverso de la guerra¿ y las mujeres. A este fin se han considerado dos momentos de tránsito: el Nápoles de la República Partenopea (1799) y el Beijing de la IV Conferencia Internacional de Mujeres (1995), que solo son pretextos, metáforas espacio¿temporales para una narración en la que el tema central es en primer lugar la atracción contemporánea entre mujeres y paz; en segundo, las dificultades históricas a las que ha tenido que hacer frente este particular binomio, y el último término, la normalización por fin de una tendencia universal, apreciable especialmente en los dos últimos siglos. History teaches us that are women in general those who opposed to the wars. This text shows the contemporary evolution of the relation between peace – opposite of war – and women. To this end there have been considered two moments of change: the Naples of the Parthenopean Republic (1799) and the Beijing of the Fourth World Conference on Women (1995), that are only pretexts, metaphors of time and place for a narrative in which the main topic is, firstly, the contemporary attraction between women and peace; secondly, the historical difficulties that this particular binomial has had to face; finally, the normalization, at last, of a universal tendency, specially appreciable over the last two centuries.
