Abstract

Media Convergence on the Science Podcast as Information Media at Science Techno Park IPB This study aims to analyze the implementation of Podcast Sainstek as an innovative public information medium at the Science Techno Park (STP) IPB using the perspective of media convergence theory. Podcast Sainstek is designed as a modern communication platform that integrates audio, visual, and digital elements to strengthen the institution’s public communication function in response to changing patterns of information consumption. By combining various media formats, the podcast not only delivers information but also creates a more interactive communication experience that aligns with contemporary audience needs. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, using data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, active participation in the production process, and a literature review supporting the analysis of media convergence concepts. The findings indicate that Podcast Sainstek serves as an effective media innovation that bridges communication between STP IPB and the wider public, particularly in disseminating information related to research, innovation, and technological development. The implementation of the podcast involves three main stages: pre-production, production, and post-production, each applying media convergence principles from content planning and cross-division collaboration to the use of technological tools and distribution through digital platforms. Podcast Sainstek plays a strategic role in expanding message reach, enhancing public engagement, and building STP IPB’s digital image as a modern and adaptive center of innovation. Overall, the podcast demonstrates that media convergence can serve as a strong foundation for managing public information media in the digital era.
