Abstract

The case for evaluation in cardiac rehabilitation is outlined with particular emphasis on the role of quality of life measurement in the assessment of services. A range of studies evaluating quality of life in cardiac rehabilitation settings are described, and recommendations are made to help identify appropriate measures for use in routine clinical cardiac rehabilitation settings in the future. © 1996, European Society of Cardiology.
