Abstract
In a context of rising use of composite materials in aeronautic or defense fields, the understanding of the behavior under shock and induced damage of these complex materials is a key issue developed in this study. Shock induced by LASER pulse offers a calibrated method to study material damage at conditions of hypervelocity impact located in a small area. Experiments are supported by real-time and post shock diagnostics to study and quantify dynamic delamination. © 2012 EDP Sciences.
