First record of Eudiaptomus gracilis (G.O. Sars, 1863) (Copepoda: Diaptomida) in the inland waters of Turkey

Abstract

The Calanoid copepod Eudiaptomus gracilis (G.O. Sars, 1863) is recorded from Turkish inland waters for the first time. Males and females of Eudiaptomus gracilis were consistently found during 6 sampling periods in the Yeşili{dotless}rmak River. The species was collected from the Yeşili{dotless}rmak River and Suat Uǧurlu and Hasan Uǧurlu dam lakes in the Black Sea region and detailed descriptions of both sexes are given. © TÜBİTAK.
