Abstract
The paper analyzes the employment status of women in the construction sector in Spain. The level of employment of women is significantly low and different compared to men, there are several circumstances that explain it: endogenous and exogenous factors to the organization, fluctuations in the trends of occupational choice, and the small core of occupations where women are still moving. Examines the gender inequalities, studying the changes in the sector in recent years and the current situation. Also it examines the feminization rate by the sector and the distribution of women by different sectors of activity. This allows us to glimpse the existence of barriers to women's access to the building industry. Barriers not only access but also referring to the difference in role and job stability, reflected by the rate of temporary employment.
