Architectural and spatial environment in the historical settlements of regional significance

Abstract

Important problems associated with the architectural and urban planning situation in the historical settlements are noted. The relevance of the topic is formulated, justified by the new socio-economic conditions and increased urbanization. Separate objects of the architectural heritage in the historical settlements located on the territory of the Krasnodar Region are presented. The main problems and factors that influence the architectural and spatial environment's formation are identified, and the conceptual proposals for its organization in the context of sustainable development are developed. The unique cultural and historical potential of the settlements is revealed from the point of view of educating the younger generation. Considerable attention is paid to the preservation and operation of historical and cultural heritage in the historical settlements. The popularization of these settlements in the development of tourism activities in them is indicated.
