Food consumption behavior expressed in food nutrients is one of major mformation required for formulation of food security policy at household level. This study reveals that calories and protein consumptions are melastic to food prices and income changes. The highest pnce elasticity observed for rice price, means that price policy on nee IS an appropriate way to mamtain household's food security. Due to the shift of food consumption pattern induced by income increase, the protein consumption is more elastic than the calories consumption. The tendency is not condusive for augmentation of household's food security because : (1) The increase of purchasing power will lead to higher increase of protein consumption than calories consumption, while, sufficiency of protein consumption is higher than calories consumption, and (2) Budget allocation for food become inefficient since food prices per unit of calories and protein are more expensive. This indicates that the efficient effort of increasing household's food security through increasing of food accessibility should be supported with the extension program of food nutrient.
