Abstract

Rice milling is a type of agricultural business that operates in the field of grain milling services to become rice ready for consumption, both for milling the produce of one's own land and for service providers. This type of business can increase additional income for owners of grain grinding units apart from relying on agricultural products as the main source of income. One of the business actors providing rice milling and rice sales services is the "Tirta Mijil" farmer group located in Bojongsari Village, Bojongsari District, Purbalingga Regency. The milling tool used is the Javatech Rice Mill 1000 which is an aid unit from the Purbalingga Regency Government. The rice mill driven by the farmer group is a new business that needs to identify machine performance in order to know the effectiveness of the grinding machine used, so that the business can continue to run optimally and obtain the expected results. Based on this, this research aims to analyze the performance of the Javatech Rice Mill 1000 machine used by the Tirta Mijil Farmers Group. The performance analysis includes (1) Machine Working Capacity, (2) Milling Yield, (3) Specific Energy, and (4) Machine Efficiency. Data collection was carried out by direct observation in the field and carried out 3 repetitions. The research results show that the performance of the Javatech Rice Mill 1000 machine is (1) The average working capacity of the machine is 513.80 kg/hour, (2) The average milling yield is 63%, (3) The specific energy is 2779 kJ/ kg, and (4) Efficiency from high engine performance. Based on these results, the use of the Javatech Rice Mill 1000 unit as a grain grinder shows technically feasible results.
