Abstract

The investigation was carried out with the aim of providing exposure and analysis of information system security loopholes in a subscription video on demand (SVOD) based company namely Netflix, and describing solutions that should be done to minimize these loopholes so that illegal Netflix account sellers can be reduced in number. This type of research is carried out using a qualitative type by observing the phenomena that occur in the community. The method used in this research is netnography. Various data were collected by researchers through observations and documentation on social media such as Twitter, forums, interviews with sources, using published journals, and available online news. The results of this study indicate that in the Netflix application there are still many loopholes that can be exploited by rogue elements and there are several solutions that Netflix can consider to be developed both from Netflix and researchers.
