Reprodução do espaço urbano e a discussão de novas centralidades

Abstract

To understand the city is necessary to consider its production and growth dynamics through urbanization process transformations, and to comprehend the elements that shape the urban space production and structure. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the capital reproduction process, the whole society and its everyday life. This way, it is possible to identify and evaluate the urban concentration areas, in other words, the centrality. The changes in the spatial organization of the cities show the appearance of new areas with significant commercial activities and a whole new flow that reflects the centrality. In this process there are the discontinuity of the city territory and the creation of new spaces representing the fragmentation. In the end, we have the production of interior spaces with specific functions as: production, consumption, habitation and others that influence the value of these areas. In this research, the objective is to study the production e reproduction of urban space by discussing the centrality question and searching to comprehend these new concentration areas.
