Abstract

Based on features of the holotype and seven Brazilian specimens examinedunderstereomicroscope,lightmicroscope,and scanningelectronrnicroscope, Eunice rubra Grube, 1856is redescribed,allowingfor intraspecificvariationand providinginformationon charactersnot includedin a previousredescription.Characters importanl for lhe taxonomyof lhe genus varied widely, although in some cases because of fixationartefacts
