Abstract

Nicotiana cavicola, an annual West Australian species belonging to the section Suaveolentes, subgenus Petunioides, was first described by Burbidge (1960) who reported it to have a somatic chromosome number of 2n=46. A new somatic number of 2n=40 is now recorded for this species. © 1975 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
