Erratum: Electronic structure and magnetism in Ru-based perovskites [Phys. Rev. B 56 , 2556 (1997)]

Abstract

Herewith we correct a typo and an omission in our paper I. I. Mazin and D. J. Singh, Phys. Rev. B 56, 2556 1997. On p. 2566, at the beginning of the last paragraph, instead of "From our first principles calculations, p↑ = 3.3 eV and p↓ = 1.5 eV. In the nonmagnetic phase p = 6.2 eV, the same as the total plasma frequency in the ferromagnetic phase." should read "From our first principles calculations, after averaging over the three directions, p↑ = 3.3 eV and p↓ = 1.5 eV. In the nonmagnetic phase p = 3.6 eV, the same as the total plasma frequency in the ferromagnetic phase, p = 3.3 2 + 1.5 2. Interestingly, in CaRuO 3 the plasma frequency is very anisotropic and substantially reduced, so that px py = 1.4 eV and pz = 2.1 eV."
