Abstract

The investigation of water-soluble fraction of Chrysanthemum morifolium led to the isolation and purification of two compounds, namely morifonoside A (I) and chlorogenic acid (II), among which morifonoside A was one new flavonoid glycoside. The structure of morifonoside A was characterized as 4',5-dihydroxy-3',5'-dimethoxy flavone 7-O-β-D-glucoside on the spectral analysis of 1D and 2D NMR data.
